The motto "No one is left behind" is key. This means inclusion and real connection. And these connections eventually go beyond the standard structures in an organization.
Leadership is about inspiring others and facilitating personal growth. Trust is given, not demanded.
The human always comes first in every decision and practice.
Although the critics argue that a People First approach can be too idealistic, causing to potentially overlook harsh economic realities or causing inefficiencies if personal preferences take precedence over organisational goals, science shows some great motivators to embrace a people first approach:

greater retention
increased well-being
higher innovation rates.
These advantages kick in when people are treated as the core asset of an organization.
